Stimulants- Speed up the central nervous system and make users feel more alert and increase physical energy. Taken to make users feel happy and decrease appetite. Some stimulants are: Cocaine, Crack, Amphetamines and Methamphetamine.
Heavy abuse of stimulants cause: permanent damage to blood vessels, destruction to tissues in nose (if sniffed,) respitory problems, infectious diseases, abscesses (if injected,) disorientation, depression, psychosis, damage to the brain causing strokes and epilepsy, strong psychological dependence, and death.

Hallucinogens- are considered "mind-altering" drugs. They increase the user's awareness of sight, taste, touch, feeling and hearing. Objects seen from the user take on different shapes and sizes, and alter sounds to be louder or quieter. Imaginary objects appear and users focus on tiny details for long periods of time. Some examples of hallucinogens are: LSD, Mushrooms, Mescaline, Ecstasy and PCP.
Heavy abuse of hallucinogens cause: psychological dependence, flashbacks, depression, anxiety, fatal liver damage, miscarraiges, birth defects, and Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder (HPPD) - panic attacks and permanent trailing images, spots, auras & other visual disturbances.
